ACTIV was established by Prof. Harry McConnell to enable Australian Veterans to access independent assessments for DVA claims and Health and Wellbeing programmes relating to psychiatric injuries.

Prof. McConnell has  25+ years’ clinical experience working with people with traumatic brain injuries, including working as Director of Neurosciences at St Vincent’s Hospital Brisbane, working as Consultant Neuropsychiatrist for the Traumatic Brain Injury service at Northern Rivers, NSW Health, and as an expert in many medico-legal cases over the past 10+ years and as a member of the expert panel for the NHMRC/ Medical Futures Fund for Traumatic Brain Injury.
